Four Ways to Survive a Single Valentine’s Day

This is the time of year when everyone who is single has a problem, usually women, who don’t have a man on Valentine’s Day really struggle with the “why me” syndrome.  Why am I not good enough?  Where is my soulmate? Why does everyone else have somebody?  I’m here to tell you that I have survived many single Valentine’s Days and it’s really not as bad as it may seem. Having a mate does not define who you are as a woman.  As a matter of fact, it doesn’t define you at all.  You are worthy of love, and that love starts with YOU!  Once you begin to love yourself, you will attract the type of souls andl heartfelt real love that you deserve. Many people settle because they feel like they should just have someone for the sake of having someone.  But that is not good love.  That is not the kind of love that you really want. So here are my five tips for surviving a single Valentine’s Day.
No. 1 — Fall in love with yourself.  Not just today but every day.  Look in the mirror and tell yourself how wonderful and beautiful you are.  Speak words of affirmation to yourself.
No. 2 – Write a love list of all the things you love about yourself.  What do you bring to the table? What do you have that is so wonderful and so dynamic?  Don’t be shy.  Make a list, write it down, and hang it where you can see it every day to remind yourself that you are worthy of the love that you desire.
No. 3 –  Go out on a date.  You don’t have to do that today, but go out on a date with yourself!!  Get dressed up, look pretty, buy yourself some flowers, and go have a nice dinner and act as if. If  you out on a date  with your partner what would they look like, what would it feel like, what would say?  How\ would they approach you? Doing this stirs the  imagination and starts the creation process. Did you actually  know that when you are speaking into the universe your lover can hear you  try it it’s a very powerful.
No. 4 – Give thanks for this time that you now have to put your house in order, clean your closet, make room for your lover, get prepared for and open the space for him to come.  Make room in your closet and make room in your kitchen and your bathroom.  Sleep on one side of your bed and imagine that your lover is on the other side of the bed.  Be happy about the time that you have to prepare a get your self together.  This time is magical because what it does is it symbolically sends a signal to the universe saying I am ready.
I used all of these things when I was single and I’m telling you that they work.  Sometimes you may get a little scared but remind yourself that your perfect one is on the way.  And remember, Valentine’s Day is just one day out of the year, love is 365 days a year, and that’s the kind of love that you deserve.
